MMA Re-Match; Submission Victory Oct. 4TH

Dan LaSavage def. Marco Daniels in rd. 1 via (rear naked choke).

LaSavage forcefully took Daniels to the mat twice, only for them to willingly stand right back up. Daniels' eagerly winged punches at the Roufusport fighter, but LaSavage blocked and slipped, even countering with a smacking kick to Daniels' face. The blow barely slowed Daniels, who continued to stalk and fire on LaSavage. Finally, LaSavage countered a kick to the body with a sick leg sweep. As Daniels scrambled to his feet, LaSavage pounced, locking on a fight-ending rear naked choke.

WCS’ KO of the Night (TKO, actually) was found in the next bout in a featherweight kickboxing face-off between “Savage” Dan LaSavage (Roufusport) and Marco Daniels (Strasser’s Freestyle Fighting). Both fighters were game, Daniels with a smirk on his face and LaSavage with his trademark grimace. No one would know if the two were friends or worst enemies as the two fighters went back and forth throughout round one.

LaSavage took control of Daniels’ lax hands in
round two, seizing the opportunity and crushing him with knees to the face and body, ending the fight at 2:53 into round two by TKO.

Another brutal battle and Professional KO of the Night came at the hands of “Savage” Dan LaSavage in the 7th pro bout of the night. LaSavage took everything he had to an unstoppable Matt “Horn Dog”.
Horning, an Ohioan who earned every ounce of respect he eked out of the loyal WI crowd by his ability to take a crapload of punishment and keep fighting. Horning persevered into round 2, where he was finally stopped by a huge right hand by LaSavage – a blow which, in fact, broke LaSavage’s hand. Horning didn’t go all the way out, though: LaSavage still had to finish the 135lb Ohio juggernaut with ground and pound, ending the fight at 39 seconds into round 2 by referee stoppage.

Tough Loss against Hosman

In the Main Event of the evening, “Savage” Dan LaSavage (Milwaukee, WI) challenged John “The Goat” Hosman (Carol Stream, IL) for the Gladiators Fighting Bantamweight MMA Championship belt.
LaSavage showed just what an amazing competitor he is by taking it right at the champion from the opening horn. Hosman responded by throwing a flurry of kicks and fists right back at LaSavage. This was going to be a war fans were thinking!
However, the end came sooner than anyone expected after Hosman nailed a high kick to the right side of LaSavage's head, opening up a cut just above his eye that would later require 18 stitches.
Hosman takes the victory in Round 1 due to a deep cut that stopped Savage's quest tonight. Although the bout was not the longest fight of the night, it was nonetheless very exciting and both fighters should be commended for their skill, heart and determination. It was a fantastic end to a night of fast and furious, amazing MMA fighting.
